Vehicle Armoring - Xtreme Defence Systems
With XDS (Xtreme Defence Systems) we are the only company to armor vehicles on site in the UAE, to US Army NIJ Level III (B6) ballistic protection. We use the latest technology available, tried and tested in Afghanistan and Iraq by the US Army, called Aztik Armor. Aztik armor solutions are composed of unique materials, creating a product that uses the energy of the projectile against itself. Unlike rigid steel armor, which works by deflecting ballistic energy, Aztik armor literally catches the bullet, rendering it harmless. Aztik armor can be retrofitted onto thin-skinned vehicles, buildings, aircraft and boats, bonding to almost any surface. Due to the ease of application vehicles can be armored and returned to operation in a short amount of time.
Base Vehicle
We use the Toyota Landcruiser Turbo Diesel LCVX8S.SPL as the base model for our armoring solutions. This top of the range vehicle has a 4144cc engine developing a whopping 201HP, enough power to carry the additional weight of armor without affecting overall performance. We can however armor any vehicle of your choice, with an engine capacity of at least 200HP.
